They had foot race, high jump, sack race etc.\nIn the evening different college men were stationed in different parts with colour and decorations. The yells were tremendous. Gailey presided.\nDr. Schauffler spoke first and I followed him. The British delegation sung the jubilee song. They cried for Mr. Moody. But he ［sic］ he would not speak. I sat by him on the platform. German or Luther’s hymn, Dutch hymn, French national ant. followed. Din sung a Chinese hymn to the tune America. Then each college sung its song in order, and after that they yelled one after another, They built a great big bon fire. And some fireworks. And all together it was a very enjoyable demonstration.
