August 19th, Friday Bright morning. It is getting warm now, coming near the Tropics. It was a beautiful day, calm all day. The night also was beautiful. It was full moon and the moonlight on the water was beautiful. The steamer Wilmina （?） passed by us just about 10 p.m. It was about seven miles away from us to the south. Everybody now seems to be enjoying this voyage. 日差しいっぱいの朝だった。北回帰線に近づくにつれ、気温が上がってきた。一日中穏やかな、素晴らしい日だった。夜もまた美しかった。満月で、海面に映る月が美しかった。午後10時頃、汽船ウィルミナ号とすれ違った。我々の約7マイル南を航行していた。今では乗客の誰もがこの船旅を楽しんでいる。
