4月19日（水曜日） The strike is said to be finished. We called on Mr. Amari and went with him to Cook’s office to get tickets changed for direct rout［sic］ to France. We learned at the office that there is yet no direct trains to France. The strike is not yet finished. ストライキが終了したらしいと聞く。私たちはミスター・アマリを訪ね、彼と共にクックのオフィスで切符をフランスに直行できるルートに替えてもらおうとした。ところがそこで、まだフランスへの直通列車はないといわれた。ストライキは終了していないのだ。
